To ensure a smooth transition between terms and prioritize the well-being of both our learners and teachers, we are implementing the End-of-Term Block.
This dedicated period (minimum of 8 to 10 days) allows us to finalize essential administrative tasks and provide "recovery time" without disrupting regular classes.
🔍 What happens during the End-of-Term Block?
The block is structured to cover everything from academic support to professional development:
Academic Recovery (ARAL Program): Intensive sessions to ensure no learner is left behind.
Administrative Completion: Finalizing grades and school forms (SFs) with accuracy.
Co-Curricular Activities: A time for school-wide events and extracurricular programs.
Reporting: Distribution of Progress and Performance Reports to parents and guardians.
Teacher Development (INSET): In-Service Training to keep our educators at the top of their game.
Wellness Breaks: Guided asynchronous activities for learners and much-needed wellness time for our hardworking teachers.
📊 Sample 10-Day Model:
Days 1-5: Focus on ARAL Program, Grade Computation, and Co-Curricular activities.
Day 6: Distribution of Report Cards.
Days 7-10: Teacher INSET and Wellness Breaks for learners.
Days 9-10: Dedicated Wellness Break for Teachers.
This structured approach ensures that we safeguard instructional integrity while supporting the holistic well-being of our entire school community.
Let's finish the term strong and recharged! 🚀✨
